PROJECTS > STATUS LEVELS

Intel Retail Edge Program (IREP) wanted to update the look of the status level web site tied to their training program for Retail Sales Professionals (RSPs) who sell their products in different retail stores. The program started in 2012 and has maintained the same look since its launch.
The goal was to update the look and launch a new promotional campaign to reignite interest and increase participation by both new and existing members.

CHALLENGE
The same generic corporate branding has been used since the program launch in 2012 and with the COVID-19 lockdown, membership was falling quickly.
The challenge was to refresh the branding for both the online site and support collateral and create a campaign to promote the program and rekindle interest in both existing and new members.
SOLUTION
Intel Retail Edge Program’s members are age 20-35, tech-savvy salespeople in various retail locations. Most are avid gamers. We choose a look of a medieval 3D game style and developed both icons and banners that could be identified with each of the training status levels.
Each status level is also tied to a unique animal icon and brand color that will be used in future collateral. We also created a 3D rendering of an ancient ruins was created as a backdrop for the battle worn banners for environment.

DESKTOP INTERFACE UPGRADE
We were able to greatly reduce the cost of the interface development by choosing to simply change the colors and icons on the existing status level interface with dramatic effect.
Using the ruins as a static background and black transparent fields, the reverse text is much more striking than the original look.

BADGES OF HONOR
Pins as badges are a big part of the IREP training culture. For some promotions, RSPs earn digital badges that they can see when they view their online profile. At other times, cloisonné pins are created that can be proudly worn.
We designed and created metal, sculpted pins for those RSPs that went above and beyond to earn Master or Legend status level.

PROMOTING THE CHANGES
Once the work online was ready, an e-blast was sent out to the Intel Retail Edge Program mailing list that links directly to the new page.
We also created promotional ads with links on the IREP site that linked to the status page for any members that logged in and were not aware of the changes.
The response to the changes was very positive and created a new excitement with both Retail Edge Program Members and staff.
