PROJECTS >EXPERT TRAINING PROGRAM
Intel Retail Edge Program (IREP) needed collateral for a brand-new training initiative they were launching in conjunction with the Status Level Branding Upgrade.
In the past, they broke down trainings by subject, but they wanted to give their Retail Sales Professionals (RSPs) an opportunity to gain deeper knowledge in select topics to help promote sales of Intel products.
These new Expert Level trainings, in addition with the many other general trainings still available, would count towards maintaining their status level. However, completing an Expert Training Track can also increase their salary.

IU Design Branding
My role as the Lead Graphic Designer was to create the logos for each of the Expert Training Tracks, develop the branding for this new Intel training program, and build out layouts for the various online components.
IREP has offered a training program since its inception. RSPs can choose any training topic or series that interest them at any time. They then watch the training video and complete the quiz at the end to earn points and badges that are applied to their status level.
The Expert Training Program is a new, and highly specialized part of the existing training platform. All of the trainings will be accessible through the same online interface, so the first challenge was to create a way for the expert tracks to stand out from all the others and be accessed quickly.
A second challenge was that not all of the Expert Tracks will be launched at the same time. The idea was to release them periodically over the course of a few months, with more being added in the future. RSPs would need a way to see all the Expert tracks available at any time and be able to monitor their progress.
We decided that the look for the Expert Training Program should family together with the new Status Level collateral we were creating. Both landing pages will be launched at the same time, and trainings from the Expert Training also count towards their status level points.
By creating a specialized landing page for the Expert Training Program, each new track will be featured in the hero area at the top as it becomes available. The tracking area at the bottom is their record of their current progress, and also a reminder of additional expert tracks they can choose to complete at any time.
DESKTOP & MOBILE INTERFACES FOR LAUNCH & UPDATE
For the site launch, the only training available was the Intel Expert Introduction Track, however, teasers for the next 4 trainings that would be available soon were shown in the Hero image. We chose to use a similar interface design to the Status Levels for recording RSP progress for each Expert Track, since RSPs were familiar with how the interface functioned and data was displayed.
For each of the following updates, additional badges were added to the Hero image and the new tracking information boxes were shown below in the status area.

BADGES OF HONOR
Pins and badges are a big part of the IREP training culture. So, we created a brand-new set of cloisonné pins and digital badges for this new Expert Training Program.
Before an RSP can start any Expert Training Track, they must complete a prerequisite Expert Introduction Course. It’s only required with their first Expert Training and earns them a digital Shield badge and 2-inch cloisonné pin that has 6 holes in it. These holes will hold any future Expert Training pins they earn when they complete a course in 2020.

The Badgewall is part of every RSPs personal profile, and it displays the digital badges that have been earned through achieving training goals over the years like medals of honor. Once these badges are earned, they are a permanent part of an RSPs profile, and they can also be viewed by other RSPs and members of IREP.
In the Badgewall sample below, this RSP has completed the Intel Expert Introduction Course and the Desktop Expert Training track and has the digital badges to prove it. They are at the top of their Badgewall since they are the most recent achievement. Any RSP can click the ‘available’ button on this page to see what other badges/achievements are available at the time and click on them for more details on how to earn even more.

PROMOTING THE CHANGES
To promote the new Expert Training Program, e-blasts were sent out a few weeks after the Status Level site launch so that RSPs were aware of the changes and invite them to view the new site.
The initial email focused on the Intel Expert Track and gave a teaser of the trainings that would be coming online in the next 2 months. They were invited to complete the Initial Training so that they were ready to start any expert track they chose.
With each of the following e-blasts, the RSPs were invited to start one the latest expert trainings and also reminding them of all the others currently available. The web site promo and e-blasts for the scheduled training launches are shown below.
