3D Backgrounds for Exhibit Touchscreens
We developed 3D environments for each of the ICR exhibits that allowed us to fly a camera through them to create rich scenes that serve as the background for the informational touchscreens.
GRAND CANYON — 3D Animations & Models
The 3D Grand Canyon and research campsite shown above were created exclusively for this project and used in the animated touchscreen backgrounds. Each 3D still shown below are also taken from this virtual 3D environment.
BEASTS OF THE EARTH — 3D Animations & Models
For Beasts of the Earth, we created a few different environments to show different ecosystems that would have existed during the time of the dinosaurs.
GARDEN IN EDEN (Pre-Fall) — 3D Animations & Models
The Garden In Eden had 2 sets of 3D models and environments. One for its original state after creation and one that shows the damage done by the fall of man.
GARDEN IN EDEN (Post-Fall) — 3D Animations & Models
LIFE IN THE ICE AGE — 3D Animations & Models
The Ice Age environment was created to demonstrate the harsh conditions of the ice and snow while showing that there were still pockets where life could have been sustained.
THE FLOOD — 3D Animations & Models
The Flood 3D environment featured a small village and elemental rain effects as well as break aways showing changes to the ground.
MOUNT ST. HELENS - 3D Animations & Models
We created the Mount St. Helen's 3D model to feature a panoramic view of the area from a nearby ridge. The campsite serves as the 3D environment for most of the informational backgrounds.
LIFE ON THE ARK — 3D Animations & Models
The Ark model takes you on a fly over, around and through to see some of the features in the 3D animated backgrounds used on the exhibit's interactive touchscreen.
THE TOWER OF BABEL — 3D Animations & Models
This 3D recreation of the legendary structure allows guest a chance to see the epic size and scale of this architectural wonder and the surrounding community.
THE ORIGIN OF THE UNIVERSE — 3D Animations & Models
These 3D renderings and animations show the vastness of space and some of the stranger things we've discovered in our great universe.
LIFE OF CHRIST— 3D Animations & Models
We chose to recreate a 3D model of the temple and its surrounding courtyards as the central focus for all the informational touchscreens in this exhibit area.
